Choosing steel for a coastal roof

Salt spray is hard on roofing. Homes close to the beach or the Broadwater need a steel that’s rated for marine conditions, or the manufacturer’s warranty may not apply. For many beachside and canal-front homes that means Colorbond Ultra instead of standard Colorbond. Further inland, around Nerang, Mudgeeraba or the hinterland, standard Colorbond is usually fine.
